Approximately 75% of the elderly population suffers from one or more chronic diseases, but only 18% of the elderly population has health insurance coverage, emphasizing the need for improved healthcare infrastructure tailored to their needs.

Over 40% of older adults in India live in poverty, with about 18.7% lacking any income. This poverty level affects their quality of life and the utilisation of healthcare services

Life expectancy is increasing (70 years) in India, yet healthy life expectancy (the average number of years a person can expect to live in "full health") lags 10.5 years behind.

Welcome to Satoru foundation

“Compassion with conviction can make the world a better place ”

Quality of life can provide holistic health, and to achieve it, we need to ensure people have safety, comfort, dignity, and a healthy environment. Satoru foundation is determined to build and shape the environment for a better quality of life.

India's elderly population (age 60+) is expected to increase from 15 Crores (10.5 % of the population) in 2025 to 22.7 crores (15% of the population) in 2035 and further increase to 35 Crores (20.8 % of the total) by 2050, meaning one in five individuals will be elderly. With both older people and the environment we live in poised to change, it is imperative that we act now to have a society with healthy ageing.
